Steadfast in God's Word, we joyfully receive and share Jesus gifts of faith, hope, and love.
In November 2024 we began a process of clarifying the mission and ministry of Epiphany. As a result of this process we defined the purpose or Epiphany Lutheran Church and our three core values, from which every aspect of life at Epiphany flows. It is based on St. Paul's Epistle to the Hebrews:
Let us consider one another... not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Let us consider one another... not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Three Core Values
Continually reading, marking, and learning God's unchanging Word.
God's Word is infallible and is the only source of faith and doctrine. As a congregation, we value the continual reading and study of God's Word, both as a congregation and individually. We will make every effort to support the reading and study of Holy Scripture.
In worship, humbly receiving God's gifts of forgiveness and eternal life.
The Divine Service is not only the beginning of each week, but the source of our Christian life. In the service we humbly confess our sins, are forgiven, and receive from our crucified Lord Jesus His forgiveness and the eternal life He won for us.
Thankfully sharing God's love with our neighbors through service in our daily lives.
In thanksgiving for the great gifts God gives to us, we extend loving service to our neighbors. This includes not only assisting with physical needs, but confessing the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
